Vivid

This year for my dad's birthday we decided to celebrate it as a family. We hopped the plane to Cebu and had a 3-day long vacation there. We watched movies, played bowling, and just spend the time together. And honestly, this is one of the family vacation I enjoyed the most. And while we're there I took the opportunity to take some outfit shots, because I tell you that place is freaking beautiful.

Knowing that Cebu is going to be hot, I decided to go for something fun and bright, and since I was in the mood for color blocking, why not? I am always fond of combining different colors together and be surprised how they look good together, exhibit A.

Even if the color combination reminded me slightly of an eggplant, i don't really care, I like it LOL.

One thing that I know about color blocking is to not over do it. The key is to incorporate some neutral pieces, in that way you can balance your outfit and won't look like a walking rainbow. In my case, I neutarlized my outfit through my purse (well technically it's my mom's purse).

For accessories, I kept it very simple and light. I used this long spike necklace that I got at claires and some bracelets with the same color palette as my outfit. Then again, when color blocking you don't need alot of accessories beacaue the outfit itself already makes a statement.

Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Forever 21 | Shoes: H&M | Necklace: Claires | Bracelets: Random

Well, sembreak's over and back to reality. I hope I spent my hours well this sembreak because for sure I will not have some free time for the next few months.
Good luck!

Christmas Hangover

I'll give my self a pat in the back for keeping up with my schedule, oh yeah *pat *pat!

I'm still on the verge of getting over the holiday season, hence my title. I still want those bright and flashing lights and lanterns at night. I miss the ambiance where in everywhere I look and go seems like everyone is singing with happiness. *sigh I guess I'll have to wait for another 12 months, oh well!

Anyway, I actually miss the holiday season because of this outfit that I'm about to explain . And it's because this is what I wore last Christmas. It was a very busy day for our family because it's also the birthday of my little brother. There were a lot of people to accomodate and plenty of kids to entertain. And what's a kids party without parlor games right? So every year it was kind of our job to prepare a bunch of parlor games to keep the kids  amused but it seems like parlor games are more enjotyable for the adults. And of course we always stick to the classics. There is the Stop dance, Pahabaan ng gamit, Trip to jerusalem, Paper dance, and the infamous Pinoy Henyo. With that being said, dressing up is really not an option. You don't want to be having your dress ruined by cute but filthy rascals do you?

If I can't dress up might as well dress comfortably but still pretty. And when I hear comfort I immediately go for my trusty ol' jeans. I paired it with a pullover and for now I only have one which is gray. I took a hint from that two pieces and from there I went monochromatic.

It seems like this kind of picture is all over the blogging world and I thought I might as well join the bandwagon

To make my outfit more interesting I added my peter pan collar necklace. I added minimal accessories because of the activity that was lined up for that day. And I think having a small amount of accessories in this outfit gave it a more laid back and polished look at once.

Skull and Cross Bracelet: Divisoria

Top: Thrifted | Jeans: Thrifted | Loafers: Suprafame

I love how my outfit is far from everybody else. Majority has pretty dresses and sky high heels and I love that I'm different, it makes me feel special :)
Baka naman ako lang talaga ang tinamad magayos. LOL

I wish I have the scenery of the province but the accessibilty of the city, that would be the perfect combination. This was taken from a place at our original house and I really want a backyard like this so bad. But unfortunately I can't. This is the time where I doubt the saying Anything is Possible. Can I plant flowers and trees and grow a whole garden here in the city? No I can't. But I do believe that Everything has  a purpose so maybe there's a reason behind this LOL.

What do you think about my outfit?

Marshall, your apartment is crooked!

Last Saturday, my brother and I decided to watch the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. It's what everybody has been talking about in our class the day the movie was screened so they have been giving away the best parts and I just didn't take it anymore so we watched it on the second day of showing. I must say, it's great movie, epic ending and amazing plot.

Before we talk about the outfit, let me explain to you my title first. Seeing the first picture below? Did you notice something regarding the floor? Yes, the parking floor is crooked! Haha, this reminds me about one particular episode in the How I Met Your Mother Series, hence, the title. I really adore that show. But honestly, their latest season is a little disappointing. I was expecting more out of it because  it's their season finale. Well,  I'm not sure of it so don't quote me on that. Some HIMYM fans out there might hate on me LOL. It's just such a bummer. Nonetheless, I am still a fan and I still want to find out who The Mother is.  If you're an avid fan of HIMYM like me, let me know what you think of the first seven episodes of season eight?

Moving on, this outfit is an example of a subtle mixing of prints, exhibited by  my top and skirt. I think this is a more classic take on the print on print trend. To jazz it up a little bit, I used my gold kinda oxford shoes. These shoes reminds me of something Camille Co would wear, don't you think so too?

Top: Thrifted | Skirt: Thrifted

My hair looks so healthy here, I wish it's always like this.

Bag: Divisoria
Necklace: Accessorize

Accessories-wise, I think I always stick to the line Less is More. I'm not saying I'm against accessorizing or for some excessorizing, actually, I adore accessories. Its just that, on days like this, it's just better to keep it simple. And when the need arises, I'll put my accessories on, and bring it! LOL

Oxford shoes: Trunkshow (Divisoria)
And it's a wrap! This outfit is probably one of my favorite.  It's comfortable and classy, just the way I like it.

P.S. I just did a haul video on my youtube channel, check it out if you want to :)
