Vivid

This year for my dad's birthday we decided to celebrate it as a family. We hopped the plane to Cebu and had a 3-day long vacation there. We watched movies, played bowling, and just spend the time together. And honestly, this is one of the family vacation I enjoyed the most. And while we're there I took the opportunity to take some outfit shots, because I tell you that place is freaking beautiful.

Knowing that Cebu is going to be hot, I decided to go for something fun and bright, and since I was in the mood for color blocking, why not? I am always fond of combining different colors together and be surprised how they look good together, exhibit A.

Even if the color combination reminded me slightly of an eggplant, i don't really care, I like it LOL.

One thing that I know about color blocking is to not over do it. The key is to incorporate some neutral pieces, in that way you can balance your outfit and won't look like a walking rainbow. In my case, I neutarlized my outfit through my purse (well technically it's my mom's purse).

For accessories, I kept it very simple and light. I used this long spike necklace that I got at claires and some bracelets with the same color palette as my outfit. Then again, when color blocking you don't need alot of accessories beacaue the outfit itself already makes a statement.

Well, sembreak's over and back to reality. I hope I spent my hours well this sembreak because for sure I will not have some free time for the next few months.
Good luck!

Fall Lookbook 2013

Philippines is a tropical country so the closest thing we have to cold weather is when it gets cold in December, but if we did have a Fall Season this is a set of outfits I would probably wear. I hope you all enjoy it!

Have a nice day.

Style Satyr

Hola! Ok, I'm not going to get into the whole apologizing thing but let's just say I'm spending my summer sulking and just enjoying the couch here in my house which is probably the reason why I lack posts. But we did go to Bacolod awhile back and here's what I wore.

What I like about this outfit is how the floral bottom balances the edginess of the upper half of my outfit. And if you're wondering that is also the reason behind my title. Well, I don't know how I compared my outfit with a satyr, since a satyr is a half goat and a half human, but I guess I'm just obsessed with greek mythology that I'll find any way to talk about it (wink face).

I accessorized combining gold and silver pieces and sticked to black with my bag and shoes.

This is the outfit I wore when we flew back to Manila so I thought a blazer would be great for warmth while flying. On the otherhand, this outfit would still work with the blazer off.

Upon arriving in Manila we immediately went to MOA and luckily we were a little early so we managed some outfit shots in the aisle thing :)

Top: Baclaran | Leggings: Chic Label | Shoes: Supra Fame | Bag: Thrifted

Seeing these photos made me miss my long hair, oh yes I haven't shown you my new hair yet but you can check it out on my youtube channel, just in case you want to see it.

Have a nice day!

Is it a DOG or a HORSE?

I'm back! Well, just for now. I'm on a study break and I thought I should do this post now because I might not squeeze this in for next week because of my crazy schedule. There's a lot of pre-final examinations and just schoolwork in general. So sorry if I lack posts this week and will lack posts for next week.

This is again a very casual outfit that I wore on a family day out. And usually the day was spent on shopping and eating. We actually went to Baclaran and it was pretty amazing to shop there. Everything is so cheap. But on the down side, you have to buy it as wholesale or what we call here in the Philippines as "pakyawan". I did a haul on what I bought at Baclaran so if you want to see that just click here.

Back on the outfit, I was very sure that I will shorts that day beacuse it was so hot out, but I have this one rule that when I show skin in the bottom half of my body, then, I have to cover up in the other half. But once again it was very hot out so I went with a long sleeve sheer top. It covers my skin but it's not too heavy that I'll die because of heat.

As you can see I kind of went with a color scheme of red, blue and black and I thought the colors work well together. This outfit is preppy and at the same time edgy and I thought that it's very interesting to mix those two style together. It reminds me of something Blair Waldorf would wear when she's a rebel LOL.
Top: Thrifted | Shorts: Thrifted | Belt: SM Department Store
Can anybody tell me what's in the print of my shirt, Is it a DOG or a HORSE? I have been very curious about it and I can't seem to decide what it is LOL.
Skull and Cross Bracelets: Divisoria
Shoes: Thrifted

I am very upset about the fact that I can post here as much as I want to because of my schedule. It's just really been so hard regarding schoolwork since I have to step up my game and I can't do that If my time is going to be divided so I hope you'd understand.

Anyway, to make it up to you, I do make videos more because it's easier to make it and I thought I'd share some here:)

Multiple personality

As much as I love dressing preppy, classy and all romantic, there are days that I really want to go out of my box. And that's by way of dressing edgy. Being edgy makes me feel more confident and strong, *iyong bang  lumapit ka sa akin susuntukin kita ang dating LOL. But too much of anything is not pleasant, and it applies the same way in this type of dressing. Too much edginess gives a wrong impression so what to do? Use a dress instead! I always wanted to try the contrast between a dress and an edgy piece. And In my case I paired my LBD with a classic denim jacket.

Ano lalapit ka pa? LOL

I love how comfortable this pairing is. It's very breezy yet conservative. It's very 90s and I'm a 90s kid so it looks legit.

It would have been better if I used a pair of combat boots but I don't have it yet so I just settled in these sandals. I'm going to BU4 so I hope I could score some shoes there, sooooo excited! Comment below if you're also going.

And to complete the look, of course you don't want to forget to accessorize. I went all out edgy and used a cross necklace and a leather bag.

Got to try more contrasting pieces in an outfit. I think it looks good and very interesting. Out from the usual and far from mediocrity.

My block mates and I were just discussing awhile ago about the judgement day based on the Mayan calendar blah blah blah. And since the PASKUHAN(will explain this on another post) will be held on December 21, the supposed judgement day, what would we do? Is the judgement day really going to happen? Do you believe that the world will end on Dec. 21? Supposed it's true, what would you do before the end of the world?

If you'll ask me? Knowing that the world is going to end, honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do. All I know is it would just be so depressing to know all are going to end soon and yet I haven't lived my life to the fullest and I'm going to die sad. JK LOL.

Comment below what's your opinion about this. I would love to hear it all :)

Spikes and Skulls

So last November 1 we went to the cemetery, actually 3 cemeteries are our destination that day to visit our late loved ones. Yes, this is a very late post but better late than never right?

Since we will be climbing hills and walking through muds, I decided to just stick with the basics so I would not be frustrated getting dirty to a great ensemble. Another thing to think about is what shoes to wear in this kind of case. There's something about me that always wear closed shoes when going outside, even if I'm just going to make an errand I always go for flats or any closed shoes. But in this scenario, we will be passing through some really muddy roads so I just did it, I used a sandal. In the end, I kind of liked it. Conclusion? Try new things to discover greatness.

This outfit is great example of a basic outfit. Almost all of the clothing things I used here is an essential piece to a lady's closet. For me, simple pairing like this already makes an impact but to make it stand out more, add accessories. I could have style this with classic accessories but for the reason that it's all about dead people and spooky things, I opted for spikes and skulls!
Top: Thrifted | Shorts: Thrifted | Belt: Thrifted

Skull Necklace: Divisoria
Spike Bracelet: Divisoria
Sandals: Kenneth Cole
This outfit reflects why I love basics. It's simple yet interesting, classy and stylish, affordable and timeless it's all there ☺

I'm really loving my schedule this 2nd semester because first of all I get enough sleep. Then, I could give a little bit of my attention on my social media sites. And finally, It's not stressful at all, well at least it's not right now. But expect a decreasing number of posts because as I had noted on my previous posts I'm going to spend most of my time on my studies, but I'm still going to post once in a while.

Credits to my brother for these amazing photos!

Black and white it is

Yap, still about the foundation celebration of my alma mater ( I told you I am not gonna stop talking about it LOL ). One of the things I look forward to is the foundation night or simply found night. Basically, it is a party for all high school students to do whatever they want, well not whatever but lets just say it is all about them. At first I told myself that I'm not going to go because I'm afraid the seniors  won't like not only my presence but of all alumni. But I just can't resist to take opportunities like this to dress up, I think it's becoming an illness LOL. Plus, I have some good senior friends and i would also like to catch up with them. Last year, our theme is all out retro and we did a variety-like show. This year, the senior went for a black and white theme, which I honestly think is better than ours LOL. As soon as I heard that it's a black and white party I went overdrive and immediately thought of a dress to wear. Luckily, I just thrifted some dresses that meets the theme, you could cheek out a video haul I did that features all the dresses I thrifted click here

Originally, I was going with my brother, but I know he will end up hanging with his high school friends, and I am going to be left alone. Fortunately, my friend Pia also was going and so my night was saved. In the party we saw our other batch mate, Jastine and we all hang together. By the way, I kind of styled Pia for that event, what do your think of her outfit? Classy and sweet.

Us, awkwardly sitting in the middle of a high school crowd

Oh, did I mention that there is also a contest that night for solo singers, duet singers, pop dance groups, and bands. Wow, I can't believe I was actually paying ttention to what the MC is saying LOL. Here, my brother snapped some pictures of few of  the bands.

Here's what I wore.
Actually, there's a funny story on how we shot the outfit and outfit details. Well, after the party we tried to shot a few inside the gymnasium but didn't like the outcome, so we decided to shoot it at home but then I thought if we shoot it at home we're going to use the flash of the camera and thats not going to give justice to a dress like this. I told my brother to shoot at the gym again, and luckily it's lights are still on and  the sounds and lights guys are still packing up. We took the shots with them watching me pose awkwardly LOL. Thats why you could probably see a guy fixing some cables behind me. Well, at least we got the shot 😃

Whenever i'll go to an event like this, there's always this one question I dread to ask. What if someone wears the same dress I'll wear? That's a very big problem, well for me it is. So at first I was hesitating to go  for a high-low dress because it is such a big trend. But with that in mind I went for it saying there is no other event that could come up to be worthy of this dress. I went inside the venue and expectedly there are a few girls who are wearing high-low dresses it's not a problem after all.

Dress: Thrifted

Wearing a high-low dress makes me feel like a somebody. It makes me feel beautiful and special. Another thing is I love how it is long enough to cover my calves in the back and my legs in the front. So I hope, this trend is not going to go out of style soon, because I definitely want to wear more of this.  Color-wise, I could have gone black and white all the way styling but to give the outfit more personality I used a tangerine envelope clutch.

Dainty and at the same time bold detail in the back of the dress

Spike bracelet: Gift | Bangle: Coach | Watch: Coach | Silver bead bracelets: Mom's

Shoes: Parisian
Peter Pan Collar Necklace: Divisoria
Envelope Purse: Thrifted

It was a great night, the only down side is it made me miss high school so much more. Well, at some point I need to move on, so what am I going to do is to not talk about it for a wile, not even in this blog. I know, I am making such a bug deal out of this but it is just very hard for me. I am still on the adjustment phase and I think I can pass through this and move on eventually.

What do you think of my outfit?
