Fall Lookbook 2013

Philippines is a tropical country so the closest thing we have to cold weather is when it gets cold in December, but if we did have a Fall Season this is a set of outfits I would probably wear. I hope you all enjoy it!

Have a nice day.

Style Satyr

Hola! Ok, I'm not going to get into the whole apologizing thing but let's just say I'm spending my summer sulking and just enjoying the couch here in my house which is probably the reason why I lack posts. But we did go to Bacolod awhile back and here's what I wore.

What I like about this outfit is how the floral bottom balances the edginess of the upper half of my outfit. And if you're wondering that is also the reason behind my title. Well, I don't know how I compared my outfit with a satyr, since a satyr is a half goat and a half human, but I guess I'm just obsessed with greek mythology that I'll find any way to talk about it (wink face).

I accessorized combining gold and silver pieces and sticked to black with my bag and shoes.

This is the outfit I wore when we flew back to Manila so I thought a blazer would be great for warmth while flying. On the otherhand, this outfit would still work with the blazer off.

Upon arriving in Manila we immediately went to MOA and luckily we were a little early so we managed some outfit shots in the aisle thing :)

Top: Baclaran | Leggings: Chic Label | Shoes: Supra Fame | Bag: Thrifted

Seeing these photos made me miss my long hair, oh yes I haven't shown you my new hair yet but you can check it out on my youtube channel, just in case you want to see it.

Have a nice day!

Scarlet Chic

I have always dreamt to have that perfect winter season wherein I'm just sitting in my PJs maybe drinking a cup of choco, overlooking by the window watching the snow gently fall down the streets. Isn't that like a picture perfect scenario? Oh the things movies can do to people. Anyway, another  reason why I like to have a cold weather is so I experiment more on my style and since we only have two seasons here,  it limits our fashion choices. But given the chance to layer, I always grab it wholeheartedly so here's what I came up with.

Top: Thrifted | Skirt: Thrifted | Tights: SM Dep't Store | Shoes: Suprafame

Well, I definitely did not go overboard with layers because even if we're already in Bagiuo, it is still not necessary to wear coats and all that jazz. What I did is I just formulated(formulated talaga? LOL) an outfit just like I always do in a daily basis. And from there, I looked for things to add so I can stand the colder weather in Bagiuo. In this case, I just added tights in a simple outfit for heat and style.

I'm really loving this of types shirts lately having high necklines.  In my opinion, it can look really elegant and a basic piece that can be styled in many ways. Take this outfit as an example. A simple top paired with a simple skirt, accented by really simple accessories,  but what made it really look elegant and different is the cut of the shirt which I think is a minute detail that all of us should look in a shirt.

I love this shot! It's perfect. Thanks to my all time Photographer, my brother :)

And yes if you're wondering, I really posed in front of the people of Baguio. Well maybe not in front, but we shot this were a lot of people were just chillin' and passing by the area and it's a bit frustrating to find an empty space to shoot with total silence and privacy so wala ng arte rate, pose ka na lang, take it or leave it!LOL, I was forced to just take it all in and just pose! LOL

And of course you can't leave Baguio without riding a bike or a boat, haha. It's actually like a tradition for us Filipinos to do all these things even if we had done it a thousand times.  Regardless, all in all it was a great trip and it made me remember a glimpse of my childhood which is always good.

What do you think about my outfit?

BRGNDY

Happy Holidays everybody! One last post before Christmas.
I just want to share to you what I wore to the Bloggers United 4 last week. I was having a hard time coming up with an outfit since I was supposed to meet my idols and I want to look the part.

IMG_3291
I decided to go with this dress that I thrifted awile back. This piece is both classy and trendy and nothing can beat that combo, plus this color is so hot right now *I'm obsessed with it. I just threw on this blazer with irregular polka dots to add some character and of course I  added a  detachable peter pan collar necklace for that additional preppiness. I also decided to wear tights since I think this dress is a tad bit short for me and I don't want to be flashing anyone with my bum LOL.

My inspiration for this pairing is to be up to date with the trends but still having a little bit of me in there. Hence, the blazer and the peter pan collar necklace.

And that concludes my last post for 2012 :)
I know everyone is going to be busy this holiday, including me. My brother's birthday is coming up plus there's a lot of parties(Debut, Christmas Party, etc.) that I need to attend so I guess I'll talk to you probably next year LOL Haha.
2012 has been a good year for me. It gave me a lot of new things: a blog, a youtube channel, new friends, new school, new life and now that its about to end I am hoping for a new hope and I wish 2013 will give me that.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
And let's be thankful it's not the end of the world only the end of 2012.

Bloggers United 4

ACK! It's time to share my first Bloggers United experience.
This is very exciting for me since I have been waiting for that time to finally see my favorite filipino fashion bloggers and I'm so happy I finally met them in personal. I think I have been good this year that's why Santa gave me an early christmas gift :)

Let me just describe my feelings that day. So it was a Saturday and annoyingly, we have a class from 11am-3pm so I have to wait anxiously the whole period not even listening to a word my professor is saying, that's how excited I am.

As soon as we were dismissed(My prof bare with me and dismissed us early), I squeaked and literally were so anxious to get home. We went to the World Trade Center as fast as we can. There's like this little aisle that we have to walk through to get to the Bloggers United area and I was shaking the whole time. I began to see familiar faces and I was like smiling and just wanted to pinch myself just to make sure I'm not dreaming LOL. We decided to spend a good half hour just to take picture with all the bloggers and collect ourselves from the shock that day brought. Anyway too much excitement here, I think I just have to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Camille was actually late from work but then as soon as she arrived, she began to entertain all of her fans and took pictures and interacted with them. She was so sweet and very down to earth. Seeing her is definitely the perfect way to end the year 2012.

Patricia Prieto of Paradigma

I really like Patricia's style(Wow close! Kung maka-first name basis naman! LOL). We don't share the same style but I think she is the only blogger that has a really defined style and I adore her for that.

Ashley was actually a Japan-based fashion blogger and I'm not very sure but I think at every Bloggers United there is at least one foreign blogger to join the event.

Miss Kookie definitely has the best collection of statement shoes :) I actually bought my only purchase from her.

Can you guess which of these two shoes I ended up buying?

And that's my BU4 experience. At the end it's not about the idea of shopping clothes from bloggers but seeing them in their human form. Wow, that came out wrong. What I'm trying to say is, when I look at their blogs and read their entries I have the feeling that I can't reach them but after this day, I now knew that they are normal people who just loves doing what they do.

P.S. More on my outfit in my next post!

College Girl

I thought I'd blog first before diving on to a pile of homework that I have to do tonight, so lets do this!
I just want to share you what I wore on the Pharma night held last tuesday. It's a variety show and a fashion show featuring different talents from the Faculty of Pharmacy. There are also numbers where our professors have to perform. It's amusing seeing them make a fool of themselves for a change, and I meant that in a good way :)

I just want to have a good time hanging with my friends to I settled with pants instead of anything else. I went all out preppy and personally this can pass of as a college uniform. I would be so happy if this is going to be our uniform, Sooooo happy! LOL

IMG_2089
I went with my trusty ol' peter pan collar shirt to give it a more 'prim and proper' vibe. And for the final touch I tied a bow with the shirt. Can you imagine the outfit without the bow, it's just going to be a boring and mediocre outfit. Accessories-wise, I wanted to compliment the color navy with another dark color which is obviously, burgundy! I just love how they both look so rich and expensive. For shoes, nothing beats a classic, so I brought out my loafers once and for all.

I would just have to say that this ensemble pretty much describes my style.
So if I will ask you, what's your style?

Spikes and Skulls

So last November 1 we went to the cemetery, actually 3 cemeteries are our destination that day to visit our late loved ones. Yes, this is a very late post but better late than never right?

Since we will be climbing hills and walking through muds, I decided to just stick with the basics so I would not be frustrated getting dirty to a great ensemble. Another thing to think about is what shoes to wear in this kind of case. There's something about me that always wear closed shoes when going outside, even if I'm just going to make an errand I always go for flats or any closed shoes. But in this scenario, we will be passing through some really muddy roads so I just did it, I used a sandal. In the end, I kind of liked it. Conclusion? Try new things to discover greatness.

This outfit is great example of a basic outfit. Almost all of the clothing things I used here is an essential piece to a lady's closet. For me, simple pairing like this already makes an impact but to make it stand out more, add accessories. I could have style this with classic accessories but for the reason that it's all about dead people and spooky things, I opted for spikes and skulls!
Top: Thrifted | Shorts: Thrifted | Belt: Thrifted

Skull Necklace: Divisoria
Spike Bracelet: Divisoria
Sandals: Kenneth Cole
This outfit reflects why I love basics. It's simple yet interesting, classy and stylish, affordable and timeless it's all there ☺

I'm really loving my schedule this 2nd semester because first of all I get enough sleep. Then, I could give a little bit of my attention on my social media sites. And finally, It's not stressful at all, well at least it's not right now. But expect a decreasing number of posts because as I had noted on my previous posts I'm going to spend most of my time on my studies, but I'm still going to post once in a while.

Credits to my brother for these amazing photos!
