Vivid

This year for my dad's birthday we decided to celebrate it as a family. We hopped the plane to Cebu and had a 3-day long vacation there. We watched movies, played bowling, and just spend the time together. And honestly, this is one of the family vacation I enjoyed the most. And while we're there I took the opportunity to take some outfit shots, because I tell you that place is freaking beautiful.

Knowing that Cebu is going to be hot, I decided to go for something fun and bright, and since I was in the mood for color blocking, why not? I am always fond of combining different colors together and be surprised how they look good together, exhibit A.

Even if the color combination reminded me slightly of an eggplant, i don't really care, I like it LOL.

One thing that I know about color blocking is to not over do it. The key is to incorporate some neutral pieces, in that way you can balance your outfit and won't look like a walking rainbow. In my case, I neutarlized my outfit through my purse (well technically it's my mom's purse).

For accessories, I kept it very simple and light. I used this long spike necklace that I got at claires and some bracelets with the same color palette as my outfit. Then again, when color blocking you don't need alot of accessories beacaue the outfit itself already makes a statement.

Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Forever 21 | Shoes: H&M | Necklace: Claires | Bracelets: Random

Well, sembreak's over and back to reality. I hope I spent my hours well this sembreak because for sure I will not have some free time for the next few months.
Good luck!

Fall Lookbook 2013

Philippines is a tropical country so the closest thing we have to cold weather is when it gets cold in December, but if we did have a Fall Season this is a set of outfits I would probably wear. I hope you all enjoy it!

Have a nice day.

Back Revelation

Oh freedom! Why'd you leave me so fast. Tomorrow, classes will start again for some universities and unfortunately UST is one of them. That's why today, I'll be doing everything I want (like blogging*wink face) because for sure I will soon be saying goodbye to freedom while welcoming stress and a lot of work, again!
#Student problems

Anyway, here's my second outfit in Hongkong. After going to Ocean Park in our 1st day, we decided to go to another amusement park in our 2nd day, and obviously that would be DISNEYLAND!!!

As I have said in my last post, it would be a lot more convinient to wear a pair of shorts when going to amusement parks because it does not only allow you to move but it is also an appropriate thing to wear to combat heat.

This time I went for a more casual look, just a shirt and a pair of denim cut offs which is the typical thing to wear when you're in Disneyland. You might just want to go for comfort instead of style, but again no one said anything about both right?

What i love about this outfit is even it's a simple combination, the print of the top definitely takes it to another level of casual wear. It gave it more spunk and character.

Of course, that's not the only thing I love about this top. It has this revelation in the back that serves as another passage of air because apparently wearing a pair of shorts is not enough to combat heat.

I love that my top has a bunch of colors in it that I didn't have a hard time picking out accessories to go with it.

This is probably my favorite outfit I wore in Hongkong. It's very comfortable yet it look put together at the same time(Will definitely hoard tops like this).

Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Thrifted | Bag: Coach | Shoes: SupraFame | Pearl Bracelet: Forever 21 | Cross Bracelet: Trinkets for Keeps | Braided Bracelet: Simone's Closet

So for all those student's out there, enjoy your time while you can or you just sleep whole day because you probably won't get some in the next 5 months *evil laugh* well of course including me.
As always have a nice day!

Nautical Again!

Hello everybody! Your lousy blogger on duty, and yep I'm referring to myself. Besides from being an inconsistent blogger well I just think I don't talk to you enough anymore. But here I am again with a post in a random date and I just want to thank you all :D

Last week my family and I went to Hongkong for a vacation. And I took that chance to take some outfits shots since my brother is there to take it. *Sigh this blog will never be alive without my bro. Anyway, I am thankful for him every single time he takes my outfits shots. Speaking of outfits, here what I wore to our first day in Hongkong, our first stop OCEAN PARK BABY!

A little tip when you go to any amusement part, do not wear anything that might expose you "hooha". And that's a lesson I learned when I'm in the line of "The Flash" looking at a very uncomfrotable lady that is about to be turned upside down by "The Flash" in a mini flouncy skirt. Well I'm glad my mom had told me to pack some shorts instead of skirts I can even hear her voice right now echoing indide of my head saying " I told you so". Moms, why are they always right?

Since I don't have a large collection of shorts I'm always glad to have a pair of basic shorts that I can wear a bajillion times. I was feeling nautical that day so I went all out nautical, againnnn! I can't stop myself from pairing these three colors together, they just look so freaking good together and a striped top just put the outfit all together.

For the accessories, I feel another tip coming guys. I say always settle for minimal accessories, unless you want to loose every single jewelry you have riding all those amusement rides all day. For me I just went with my dainty cross bracelet, a pearl bracelet and to add a nautical vibe I added a brown beaded bracelet which always reminds me of something nautical, I just can't seem to recall it.

What item can be more nautical than an anchor, right? *wink

And yes we did it on purpose taking photos with a perfectly equal nautical background, with all the ropes and stuff haha.

It's a fun day and a lot of memories to treasure. And I can't wait to show you all the pictures we took. For now, I wish you all a wonderful day.

Is it a DOG or a HORSE?

I'm back! Well, just for now. I'm on a study break and I thought I should do this post now because I might not squeeze this in for next week because of my crazy schedule. There's a lot of pre-final examinations and just schoolwork in general. So sorry if I lack posts this week and will lack posts for next week.

This is again a very casual outfit that I wore on a family day out. And usually the day was spent on shopping and eating. We actually went to Baclaran and it was pretty amazing to shop there. Everything is so cheap. But on the down side, you have to buy it as wholesale or what we call here in the Philippines as "pakyawan". I did a haul on what I bought at Baclaran so if you want to see that just click here.

Back on the outfit, I was very sure that I will shorts that day beacuse it was so hot out, but I have this one rule that when I show skin in the bottom half of my body, then, I have to cover up in the other half. But once again it was very hot out so I went with a long sleeve sheer top. It covers my skin but it's not too heavy that I'll die because of heat.

As you can see I kind of went with a color scheme of red, blue and black and I thought the colors work well together. This outfit is preppy and at the same time edgy and I thought that it's very interesting to mix those two style together. It reminds me of something Blair Waldorf would wear when she's a rebel LOL.
Top: Thrifted | Shorts: Thrifted | Belt: SM Department Store
Can anybody tell me what's in the print of my shirt, Is it a DOG or a HORSE? I have been very curious about it and I can't seem to decide what it is LOL.
Skull and Cross Bracelets: Divisoria
Shoes: Thrifted

I am very upset about the fact that I can post here as much as I want to because of my schedule. It's just really been so hard regarding schoolwork since I have to step up my game and I can't do that If my time is going to be divided so I hope you'd understand.

Anyway, to make it up to you, I do make videos more because it's easier to make it and I thought I'd share some here:)

Paskuhan 2012

Hooray for my first outfit post this year, 2013. But then let's reminisce for awhile the things that happened last 2012. One of the highlight of last year is the infamous Paskuhan of UST. And of course as a freshman I just can't miss such a very big event for my university. Plus, I also want to witnesss the fireworks display that everybpdy is taking about. All in all I'm glad I went because it was such a fun experience and I'm already excited for this year's Paskuhan :)

The event lasted until midnight and we stayed until the end. My brother and I, being a committed look bookers that we are, managed to take our outfit shots. And I thought that the messy grandstand is a great backdrop LOL. What do you think?

Shorts: Thrifted

As usual I was having a hard time picking an outfit, appropriate for this event. But, I always wanted to dress like I'm going to a music festival. And considering paskuhan consists of a mini concert I thought why not? So Basically, this outfit is something I would wear at a music festival or something similar to that.

Cross and skull bracelet: Divisoria

Top: Thrifted | Hat: Gelibean Couture | Flats: Suprafame | Belt: SM Kids Accessories
This outfit is again a great example of showing that basic pieces can also make a statement. With the right pairing and accessories it can stand out from a pool of trendy outfits. Another thing is, I'm really diggin' the combination of black and red. My brother sees it as a very dark combination but for me it screams sophistication.

That's it! 2012 had been a good year and I hope 2013 can top it :)
I have high hopes for my blog and youtube channel. I've been really committed in these two and I want to thank all of my readers, viewers and subscribers for supporting my passion. I wish you'll still stick with me for 2013.

Also, if you're interested I did my first ever Christmas Haul and just feel free to watch. And If you've got time you may also check out my channel and subscribe if you want to :)))

An American for a day!

I was supposed to portray Katy Perry for a parade we'll do to open our pharma week, but looking at my wardrobe I don't have anything that resembles the style of Katy. So I tried to analyze Katy's style, I searched the web on what she usually wears and I concluded that she likes having fun with her outfits and loves to wear bright colors. And since our supposed color scheme is red, white and blue I think I can come up with something that can pass through as Katy Perry-ish.

This photo is so not me, eeeek! So daring! But I like it nonetheless.

Since I was broke that time and already given up searching divisoria for a clothing piece to use for my Katy Perry get up, I just did what any practical girl would do. Be imaginative! For the reason that I am already using colors all I need to do is have fun with my outfit. I incorporated all my favorite items and so I'm ready to make a firework! Get it? LOL

To add charcter and quirkiness to the outfit, I gave my bowler hat a spin.

Bowler Hat: Gelibean Couture

As for my shoes, I decided to wear some crazy high heels. The problem is I don't have any, ironic right? But luckily I have a friend who is all about heels. She has a great collection of rad heels and I thought why not borrow, it's not like it's a crime is it? And because she's such a good friend(?)LOL, no she really is,  she lend me this pretty amazing mary janes. So Thank you Pia! You know her, I mentioned her here in my blog for a million times already.

After the parade my feet began to hurt and the heels are literally killing me.  So i'm glad I bought these flats with me. You know me I'm never really the high heels kind of girl. And comment if you're not too, so we can conquer the world of fashion with flats *evil laugh*.

IMG_1754

I decided not to go with my usual poses since my blockmates are noticing that I do the same poses in all of my photos. They even mock me sometimes, mimicking my poses  there's one with me touching my hair, me with my tippy toes and me looking down. So to shaken things up I tried something new.
What do you think from the scale of 1 to 10?

IMG_1758

So that concludes this post. I'm sorry for the not so high quality photos. We're still trying to figure out what settings to use everytime we do outfit shots. Can you recommend some great camera setting?

Anyway, this is probably one of my favorite paring and probably the boldest!

10 Must-have Wardrobe Basics

I finally decided to do this post, the 10 Must-have Wardrobe Basics. I know you can see a bunch of lists like this over the internet, but this is my personal opinion on what should be on all women/ girl's closet.

I think you now know that I have a thing for blazers. I adore them for they give a casual look an *oomph and a polished outfit sophistication. Ideally, the must-have color for a blazer is black, but for me, navy blue is also an essential.

Jeans have been among us since the 18th century and I think or more likely I believe that it will never go out of style.  A woman should at least have one pair of perfect fitting dark wash jeans. Why dark wash you might ask? Among all the washes of jeans, the dark wash seems to portray different kind of style and is the classic blue jeans.

As I say, you can never have enough white shirts. White top with a bow, a simple buttoned down, peter-pan collared top, normal sleeves, quarter sleeves, long sleeve, you can have it all, and it's never a regret to buy them.

I think everyone will agree with me on this one, the ultimate LBD or the little black dress. Every woman should have an LBD, whether it's a shift dress, a skater dress, a tight-fitting dress it can give you that elegant and class.  I think that the LBD is the living proof of the saying Simplicity is Beauty.

Of course we cannot forget the shoes, right ladies? To go with your little back dress, you should have you little black shoes LOL. It s the mother of all basic shoes and I'll go ahead and call it as the all-purpose shoes.  It can be casual or dressy and can depict different kinds of style. On the other hand, nude shoes I think is worthy enough to be called a must-have. It's for those ladies who prefers its light presence rather than the black one. But either shoes can give you what you want in an outfit. I myself  have been lusting for a nude heels sometime now, and I haven't found the perfect one, even though I know it doesn't exist.

For those ladies out there who can't stand a day wearing heels, well I also got some basic flats for you. Many say that flats are never a pride of the fashion industry but then fashion should not always be about style/trend, it should also consider comfort, because that's the reason why these clothes are invented anyway. Anyway, stick with the basic colors and you're good to go.

Shorts-wise,  highwaisted is the word. I remember those times that shorts are only used when lounging at home. But now, whether you're going for casual or dressier looks,  shorts can now be there for usage. But for me, I'm not totally over the fact that shorts were used only for your family/housemates to see. But eventually I see that shorts, high-waisted shorts specifically can be decent enough to be worn outside the house. And a few must-have are a black, red. navy blue and khaki high-waisted shorts, and of course a denim high-waisted shorts.

Basic tees, I think I don't need to explain this. It's a must-have and it's always going to be a must-have.

I think we all have denim jackets we're been hiding inside our cabinets.  Well, it's time to get those babies out because it is now considered as a basic piece, I think it always have been. Anyway, a denim jacket is an essential because it can be worn on all season, in any country, and in any time zone LOL.

And finally, skirts! Skirts are my recently discovered obsession. Again, you can never go wrong with a simple black skirt but also then again a navy-blue one can be as essential.
