Vivid

This year for my dad's birthday we decided to celebrate it as a family. We hopped the plane to Cebu and had a 3-day long vacation there. We watched movies, played bowling, and just spend the time together. And honestly, this is one of the family vacation I enjoyed the most. And while we're there I took the opportunity to take some outfit shots, because I tell you that place is freaking beautiful.

Knowing that Cebu is going to be hot, I decided to go for something fun and bright, and since I was in the mood for color blocking, why not? I am always fond of combining different colors together and be surprised how they look good together, exhibit A.

Even if the color combination reminded me slightly of an eggplant, i don't really care, I like it LOL.

One thing that I know about color blocking is to not over do it. The key is to incorporate some neutral pieces, in that way you can balance your outfit and won't look like a walking rainbow. In my case, I neutarlized my outfit through my purse (well technically it's my mom's purse).

For accessories, I kept it very simple and light. I used this long spike necklace that I got at claires and some bracelets with the same color palette as my outfit. Then again, when color blocking you don't need alot of accessories beacaue the outfit itself already makes a statement.

Well, sembreak's over and back to reality. I hope I spent my hours well this sembreak because for sure I will not have some free time for the next few months.
Good luck!

Casual Elegance

Every semestral break my Mom always asks me to look out for my little brother which means, I need to go with him at his school which was also my alma mater. Even though whenever I go there I have to walk through some judging eyes, I like visiting my old school, I like the place's familiarity.

I am a Montessorian at heart so when I went there I still followed the dress code of the school which is very simple, no shorts and no slippers.

I wanted to wear something casual yet classy, something that is effortless yet elegant. So I just threw on a basic white top with my favorite black jeans ( which got destroyed by the way), added an elegant necklace and I'm good to go.

Top: SM Department Store | Shoes: SupraFame | Bag: Coach | Necklace: Claires

I think i want to lean more to this type of oufits. It's very simple but you can hear what it want's to say very clearly.

Have a nice day.

Red Carpet Ready

It's always been a challenge for me to dress for a debut or any occassion with the same concept, because 1)I have to see to it that I do not underdress or in other cases overdress 2)These type of occasssions always have themes you have to conform with. But amidst all those dilemmas I always end up with the most unusual pairings for an outfit which is not exactly a bad thing.

Last October 25 was the debut of one of my bestfriends Leane, and she picked out Hollywood (or something like that, I'm a bit confused) as her theme. Originally I was going to wear a simple red dress, because that's the color that comes to my mind when I hear the word hollywood but unfortunately she excluded the color red for us to wear so I had no choice but to think of another outfit.

Since I do not have enough time to shop for a great dress, I just worked with what I got in my closet and bam! I got an incredible outfit.

Dress: Thrifted | Top: Forever 21

If you have been watching my videos on youtube for awhile now (thank you!) , you have to know that this the dress is actually a tube top dress but since I don't have courage to wear it on its own I had to layer it with another top and honestly I liked it this more this way the the original dress itself. It made the dress more classy and sophisticated!
(You can check out the individual pieces featured in my videos here and here) .

Shoes: Chic Label

I left all of my heels back here in Manila then, so there's another dilemma there. Luckily my Mom's boutique is just around the corner (Its literally around the corner of our house, LOL) so I have some pretty nice black heels to choose from, but in the end I settled for this black kitten heels. Again it has that very classy feel to it which goes perfectly with the outfit.
( For those who want to visit my Mom's boutique, Chic Label,  you can e-mail me for details, that is if you live near me *evil laugh JK)

Necklace: Claire's

Purse: Mom's Closet

I also took some photos of what my friends wore to give you more ideas on different styles you can also wear.
You can go bold with cut outs like my friend Claudette!

The "Little Black Dress" can also be a statement and like my friend Pia, you can also pull off an LBD since it's a very foolproof outfit.

Hollywood is never complete without sparkles/ glitters, and wearing it is a great idea. You can wear a dress full on covered with sparkles or just do it subtly just like my friend Jen did.

Classic silhouettes like a peplum dress can also work, and meet my friend Joane rocking one.

It was a very magical night, and I am very glad to hang out with my best friends again!

Have a nice day.

Fall Lookbook 2013

Philippines is a tropical country so the closest thing we have to cold weather is when it gets cold in December, but if we did have a Fall Season this is a set of outfits I would probably wear. I hope you all enjoy it!

Have a nice day.

Brick Wall

I'm back, for the nth time! I think we all know how this goes, I'll blog today and will be back after a month. I'll say sorry, then do it all over again. Well, can you blame me? Yes you can LOL.  And then I can blame my course(pharmacy) for being sooooo freaking ungenerous with time.
Moving on! Last week, we celebrated my birthday, well it's a late celebration since my birthday was on July 29. Maybe I''ll talk about my actually happened on my birthday , but for now, let me tell you about what happened on the late celebration of my birthday with my family. We decided to vist the Our Lady of Manaoag to pray and give thanks for all the blessings that we are getting.

Considering we're going to a sacred place, I opted to wear pants. Plus, I know I'll just be snoozing most of the time of travel since it's a four hour drive,  and I'm more comfortable with some pants on.

I paired my pant's with an equally decent top. I want to sport a very classy look so I went with this peterpan collar top. Then I added a bow to give it a youthful look.

I used a pair of loafers to continue with the classy vibe. And I also like how the print gives the outfit more oomph and character.

To tie the look altogether, I used this turquoise bag that I absolutely love. Can you see that tassel over there? That's my favorite thing about it, besides it's color.

Then I just grabbed a bunch of bracelets that I think looks good with the outfit. And I came up with these three. I don't know why but I always gravitate towards the pearl bracelet whenever I go out.

Enjoy the long weekend for me because I would be spending my time studying for all the tests lined up for next week. But for now, I'll go out my friends and watch the "Sea of Monsters". Woot woot!

Berries

I think I forgot something! Oh yeah, I forgot to blog about my last outfit in Hongkong or to be specific in Macau. What's that they say, better late than never! Let me just go straight to what I wore.

The most effortless thing to wear are dresses, and I'll 100% vouch for that. They are just so easy and they make you look like a lady. Especially dresses like this, don't you just love it's collar? It's so pretty and sweet. I would die for dresses like this, that's why i envy Jess from New Girl, that girl has a lot of cute dresses and I want them all!

Dress: Thrifted | Bag: Coach | Shoes: Suprafame

Oh!one more adorable thing about this dress is it's print, this dress can't get any better :)

There's nothing more to say about this look, it is just plain adorable.
But what's not adorable right now is the fact the we don't have any internet connection. It's been a week that we're disconnected from the virtual world and there are pros and cons. Cons, my blog and youtube channel are suffering. I can't post a single entry in any of them. Pros, I am more into my studies. And now that I think of it, it's kinda good that we got disconnected, God does move in mysterious ways.

Have a good day!

Back Revelation

Oh freedom! Why'd you leave me so fast. Tomorrow, classes will start again for some universities and unfortunately UST is one of them. That's why today, I'll be doing everything I want (like blogging*wink face) because for sure I will soon be saying goodbye to freedom while welcoming stress and a lot of work, again!
#Student problems

Anyway, here's my second outfit in Hongkong. After going to Ocean Park in our 1st day, we decided to go to another amusement park in our 2nd day, and obviously that would be DISNEYLAND!!!

As I have said in my last post, it would be a lot more convinient to wear a pair of shorts when going to amusement parks because it does not only allow you to move but it is also an appropriate thing to wear to combat heat.

This time I went for a more casual look, just a shirt and a pair of denim cut offs which is the typical thing to wear when you're in Disneyland. You might just want to go for comfort instead of style, but again no one said anything about both right?

What i love about this outfit is even it's a simple combination, the print of the top definitely takes it to another level of casual wear. It gave it more spunk and character.

Of course, that's not the only thing I love about this top. It has this revelation in the back that serves as another passage of air because apparently wearing a pair of shorts is not enough to combat heat.

I love that my top has a bunch of colors in it that I didn't have a hard time picking out accessories to go with it.

This is probably my favorite outfit I wore in Hongkong. It's very comfortable yet it look put together at the same time(Will definitely hoard tops like this).

Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Thrifted | Bag: Coach | Shoes: SupraFame | Pearl Bracelet: Forever 21 | Cross Bracelet: Trinkets for Keeps | Braided Bracelet: Simone's Closet

So for all those student's out there, enjoy your time while you can or you just sleep whole day because you probably won't get some in the next 5 months *evil laugh* well of course including me.
As always have a nice day!

Nautical Again!

Hello everybody! Your lousy blogger on duty, and yep I'm referring to myself. Besides from being an inconsistent blogger well I just think I don't talk to you enough anymore. But here I am again with a post in a random date and I just want to thank you all :D

Last week my family and I went to Hongkong for a vacation. And I took that chance to take some outfits shots since my brother is there to take it. *Sigh this blog will never be alive without my bro. Anyway, I am thankful for him every single time he takes my outfits shots. Speaking of outfits, here what I wore to our first day in Hongkong, our first stop OCEAN PARK BABY!

A little tip when you go to any amusement part, do not wear anything that might expose you "hooha". And that's a lesson I learned when I'm in the line of "The Flash" looking at a very uncomfrotable lady that is about to be turned upside down by "The Flash" in a mini flouncy skirt. Well I'm glad my mom had told me to pack some shorts instead of skirts I can even hear her voice right now echoing indide of my head saying " I told you so". Moms, why are they always right?

Since I don't have a large collection of shorts I'm always glad to have a pair of basic shorts that I can wear a bajillion times. I was feeling nautical that day so I went all out nautical, againnnn! I can't stop myself from pairing these three colors together, they just look so freaking good together and a striped top just put the outfit all together.

For the accessories, I feel another tip coming guys. I say always settle for minimal accessories, unless you want to loose every single jewelry you have riding all those amusement rides all day. For me I just went with my dainty cross bracelet, a pearl bracelet and to add a nautical vibe I added a brown beaded bracelet which always reminds me of something nautical, I just can't seem to recall it.

What item can be more nautical than an anchor, right? *wink

And yes we did it on purpose taking photos with a perfectly equal nautical background, with all the ropes and stuff haha.

It's a fun day and a lot of memories to treasure. And I can't wait to show you all the pictures we took. For now, I wish you all a wonderful day.
